Attention all frontline employees! We’ve created a series of fun, interactive sessions tailored to the incredible work you do teaching youth. These sessions will help you prepare for upcoming observations and support overall and continuous quality improvement. Empower your afterschool program with strategies to teach leadership skills to youth participants using an everyday item—a deck of playing cards! This presentation will demonstrate how to design engaging activities that build leadership qualities while fostering a supportive learning environment through non-evaluative language. The Quality Improvement Best Practices sessions are available as a series or individually.

Zines are a DIY form of self-publishing that allow creators of all types to express themselves. In this workshop, we will be talking specifically about perzines, or personal zines. Participants will learn how to create their very own perzine using a template and understand how zines can be used as a tool to explore self-identity and community in out of school time spaces.
