The Natural History Museum of Utah is enthusiastic about sharing information about a pilot afterschool program that is in development. Designed specifically to meet the needs of afterschool providers, NHMU’s afterschool program will take students on an unforgettable adventure where the wonders of the natural world come alive. This pilot program will ignite young minds through hands-on learning, interactive experiences, and a captivating field trip to the Natural History Museum of Utah. This presentation is structured as an information session highlighting three components; afterschool program site visits, self-guided STEM activities including field trips. This presentation is designed to test assumptions, verify demand and impact, and lay the groundwork for the launch of a full-scale museum program for fall 2025.
